He served as the vice president of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, the vice chairman of the Chinese Medical Association Respiratory Diseases Branch, the deputy head of the Lung Cancer Group of the Chinese Medical Association Respiratory Diseases Branch, the chairman of the Sichuan Medical Association Respiratory Committee, and the Department of Internal Medicine of the Sichuan Medical Association. He has always been committed to the clinical, teaching and research work of respiratory diseases; his main research area is in the early diagnosis of lung cancer. He has presided over more than 20 scientific research projects at various levels, including the National Natural Science Foundation Key Project/Plan Project, the National “Eleventh Five-Year” Science and Technology Support Program, the National High Technology Research and Development Program (863 Program), and the National Science and Technology Ministry Major Projects. The total amount of research grants he handled exceeds 20 million yuan. He has also published more than 200 papers, including more than 70 papers in SCI, including Clin Cancer Res, Int J Cancer, Cancer, Mol Cancer, and Cancer Lett journal. The research results won the first prize of Sichuan Science and Technology Progress Award and the first prize of China Medical Science and Technology Progress Award.
